Winning first place is Thai Orchid (203 N Barstow St, Eau Claire), whose curries are built on chili paste, turmeric, masaman, fresh fruits & vegetables, and more. New Maharaja (1009 W Park Ave, Chippewa Falls), our second place winner, has a variety of curries including robust vegetarian options, and sometimes goat curry. Mueang Thai (2637 N Clairemont Ave, Eau Claire) comes in third, with chicken & beef curries and a flavorful curry fried rice. —James Johonnott
