I’ve often thought the best buffet would be Pan-Asian fried chicken, crab rangoon, shrimp tempura rolls, and pizza. It seems the good people of the Chippewa Valley agree with me. In first place, Royal Buffet (475 Chippewa Mall Dr, Chippewa Falls), a classic Asian-style buffet with all of your favorites. Coming in second place is Akame Sushi (4056 Commonwealth Ave, Eau Claire), whose buffet is so efficient you don’t even need to get up from your table to get more food. Pizza del Re (911 N Hastings Way) is a Chippewa Valley institution; it’s been slinging nostalgic pizzas with a salad bar for years. —James Johonnott
