The Confluence of Art Annual Show brings together the works of 50 regional and national artists in a juried art exhibit every fall in the James W. Hansen Gallery at the Pablo Center at the Confluence (128 Graham Ave., Eau Claire). "Practices in Transformation: grief, gratitude, love, and time," displayed the work of Rhonda Willers of Elk Mound, also held at the Pablo. It focused on what a facial tissue can reveal about grief, through her tissue-created quilts and curtains, among other items. "Encounters" by JONAH, at the Eau Claire Area Hmong Mutual Assistance Association (1320 W. Clairemont Ave., Eau Claire), empowered individuals to tell stories through their chosen medium, whether drawing, LGBTQ-themed art, community pieces, personal stories, a wall of hearts, or warm quilts. —Barbara Arnold
