Chippewa Valley audiences clearly love a show that makes them sing along. Taking first place is Chippewa Valley Theatre Guild’s Jersey Boys, a toe-tapping, story-driven tribute to Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons that had crowds hooked from curtain to finale. Coming in second is University of Wisconsin—Eau Claire’s Young Frankenstein, where comedy and musical chaos collided in a delightfully monstrous campus production. Rounding out the top three is Eau Claire Children’s Theatre’s Newsies, delivering high-energy choreography and big-hearted storytelling that had audiences cheering. —Nikki Lincoln
