Besides your backyard or all the hiking trails in our area, consider bringing your furry friend to Carson Park (100 Carson Park Dr., Eau Claire) to get in on all the smells and spots to run around. Irvine Park (125 Bridgwater Ave., Chippewa Falls), too, has a ton of space to work off some energy, from nature areas to paths past the zoo’s bison. There are two Eau Claire Off-Leash Dog Parks to consider (Sunset and Otter Creek Off-Leash Dog Parks), if your pup is cool with others coming over to sniff and play. —McKenna Scherer
