Wanna eat cheese, sip drinks and feel bougie while creating a lasting impression that helps you appreciate creativity and having an immersive experience? Go to an art exhibit! Voted No. 1 of the past year, “Motherly” at the Pablo Center at the Confluence showcased a very large and serene multimedia exhibit by local artists Tim Brudnicki, Joe Maurer, and Ross Nordquist. “Layers of (in) QUEER (y)” at UW-Eau Claire’s Foster Gallery came in second, exploring major themes in queer art presented by local and national creatives, while Susanna Gaunt’s “(Re) Collect” at the Pablo Center invited the audience to add to the exhibit with a curious look into what and why we collect. —Justine Batz
