Live theater offers no closed captioning or pausing for bathroom breaks, and you can’t wear your pajamas (right, Pablo?). Still, the magic of live theater outshines anything on a screen. This year, the Valley’s favorite touring production was last October’s Dear Evan Hansen, the story of a high school student’s mental health struggles. Last February saw a performance of Come From Away, a musical about a town in Newfoundland that hosted grounded flights after Sept. 11, 2001.
