The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction recently released 2018-19 report cards for public school districts. Districts’ rankings in areas such as student achievement, closing gaps, and getting kids ready for post-secondary life are combined into overall scores. Here’s a look at how some area districts stack up:

Overall score (out of 100) for the Eau Claire school district, vs. 72.6 the prior year. (Scores between 63 and 73 are classified as “meets expectations.”)

How Eau Claire’s overall score ranks among the 10 largest districts in the state. Madison is first with 72.3, Racine is 10th at 56.8.
