U.S. National Kubb Championship 2016

The U.S National Kubb Championship is the largest kubb tournament outside of Europe. It is one of three, two-day tournaments in the world, along with the World Championship in Sweden and the Swedish Championship. It is also the second largest tournament in the world with painted kubbs and kings. Day of Kubb for kids on July 8.

42nd Annual River Falls Days

Head to the 42nd River Falls Days and celebrate Adventures on the Kinni—July 7 – 10. This annual event kicks off with the region’s largest parade on Friday evening and features a 10 K/2 Mile/ Kid’s Fun Run, carnival, kid’s activities, an Arts, Crafts & Antiques marketplace, eating contests, various food vendors, live music, beer garden, and more plus Sunday’s Car Cruze-in. Menomonie Farmer’s Market

Since 2000, this market has seen a remarkable growth in participation and sales. Farmer participation has increased from an average of 3-4 vendors in past seasons to 20 vendors at the peak of the summer harvest. A typical market day this past season had 15-20 farmers selling everything from vegetables to fruit, eggs, meats and handmade crafts.

Observing The Night Sky with Chippewa Valley Astronomical Society

(CVAS) hosts public observing at Hobbs Observatory in the Beaver Creek Reserve every clear Saturday from through October. Observing starts approximately one hour after sunset for about two hours. Look through telescopes and see galaxies, nebula, star clusters, colorful double stars, and much more.
