Eau Claire Fourth of July Celebration

Be a part of this festive event, activities include sporting events, music, & fireworks Carson Park's Paul Bunyan Camp will be open 10am-4:30pm, An Old-Fashioned Family fourth of July at the Chippewa Valley Museum 11am-4pm, Fairfax Pool public swim 11:30am-7pm, Carson Park Train Rides noon-5pm, live music, food vendors, Predators Game vs Menomonine Thunderhawks football game at 6pm, Eau Claire Express vs. La Crosse Loggers baseball game at 6:05pm, plus Festival Foods "Fireworks Extravaganza" at 10pm.

Speedy Eity Run/Walk

Includes 1,4 and 7-mile run/walks. The 7-mile registration begins at 7 a.m.; subsequent races follow. Go to active.com and search Speedy Eity to see the full schedule of events. A free Kids Fun Run, geared toward youth ages 10 and younger, will be held after the races. Also new this year are fun activities for the entire family, including kubb and a live DJ, as well as a food booth.

Chippewa Valley Museum Presents: 24th Annual Fourth of July Fun Fair

Activities at the all-day celebration include carnival games, cake walks, live music and entertainment, a Civil War encampment, spelling bees in the one room school house, pioneer life demonstrations in the log house, and patriotic music by the Eau Claire Municipal Band. New this year are fun family competitions, a throwback photo booth, and a local history trivia contest. Concessions and snacks available for purchase.

Have you ever wanted to change the outcome of a fairy tale? Do you wonder what would have happened if we heard the Princess and the Pea story from the Pea's perspective or if the three bears and three little pigs swapped living arrangements? This summer, join in as we write our own "fractured" versions of popular fairy tales and children's stories. Everyone who registers will get a part onstage.
