Billed as The Street Band of the Chippewa Valley, Weapons of Brass Destruction have launched a New Orleans-style brass band right into the heart of the Eau Claire music scene. This supergroup of horn players and percussionists brings a parade-worthy party wherever it plays. Local saxophonist and composer Jayson Collins writes inventive and spirited modern jazz with a sense of playfulness. Unique interplay between horns, odd meters, and a refreshing variety of styles make this show a treat for any jazz fan. Current local and native Brazilian Eduardo Rafael sings bluesy-pop songs with a touch of classic bossa nova influence.
