There are those people in every town who live and breathe art, bringing beauty to cafe walls, sidewalks, galleries, artist markets, and our homes. The creative who took No. 1 is Mark Lone, who is known for his highly detailed illustrations featuring celebrities (like Bill Murray) and fictional characters (like Severus from Harry Potter). He also has original pieces of monsters, owls, moths, mushrooms, and more. Our second-place winner might have you saying “cheese.” Mike Howard of Mike Howard Photography is well-known for his gorgeous landscape photography, but he also specializes in portraiture, capturing high school seniors in a unique style. Coming in third is ceramicist and jewelry maker Kala Rehberger. Kala has had her work featured at SHIFT and in the EC Maker’s Market – of which she’s also a founder. Her ceramic work is influenced by psychology and the human experience while her jewelry is a mix of something for everyone, from raccoon feet to pretty flowers in resin. –Measha Vieth
