Construction cranes have been a prominent feature on Eau Claire’s skyline over the past year, meaning there’s no shortage of Projects in Progress to look forward to once the hard hats are put away. What our readers are anticipating the most is the L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library expansion project, which is literally adding a whole new story to one of downtown’s most prominent buildings. Poll voters – especially younger ones, we suspect – are also looking forward to the new Children’s Museum of Eau Claire, which is under construction on North Barstow Street. And the new Eau Claire Transit Center on South Farwell Street will provide new digs for city buses and apartments for downtown dwellers. –Tom Giffey
