Walk into the entrance of the newly expanded winner for Best Art Gallery, Artisan Forge Studios (1106 Mondovi Road, Eau Claire). This gallery displays art of all kinds: paintings, prints, jewelry, ceramics, sculpture, and furniture. Surrounding that gallery are the studios of 43 entrepreneurs, mostly artists, where visitors can watch makers create their products. The Pablo Center at the Confluence (128 Graham Ave., Eau Claire) has two year-round galleries and a resident art collection on display. Its galleries highlight the best of local, regional, and national artists in a variety of media. Recent exhibits featured Chippewa Valley women artists and a blown glass and light artist. In third place, the Volume One Gallery (at The Local Store, 205 N. Dewey St., Eau Claire) features rotating art exhibits, along with art shows, receptions, and craft talks. — Barbara Arnold
