The classic Our Town, put on by the Eau Claire Children’s Theatre at the Oxford Theatre in October, was our town’s favorite, with a highly relatable tale concerning life, love, and death. A UW-Eau Claire spring production of Shakespeare’s The Tempest was next, a famous story of wonder, forgiveness, and compromise. Readers also gave credit to another troupe in town: The Chippewa Valley Theatre Guild’s On Golden Pond at The Grand Theatre was also adored. This was a story about a long-married couple’s journey to their summer home, the perfect sentimental tale for the holiday season. — Catey Leonardson
