Dr. Steve Kristo has been helping people have their best smiles for years by providing the highest quality orthodontic care in a fun environment. Beyond that, his philanthropic leadership also makes the Valley. Dr. Selika Ducksworth-Lawton, a history professor at UW-Eau Claire, has had her hands in many different social justice causes for years. In the past year, she took a leadership role in Black Lives Matter demonstrations, co-hosted a radio program on diversity, and curated a Pablo Center art exhibit. Eau Claire City Council member Andrew Werthmann has been one of Eau Claire’s biggest advocates and has authored legislation ensuring benefits for city workers in same-sex relationships and helped create the Sustainability Commission for the city. –Caitlin Boyle
