While he’s been in the rankings a couple of times, this is the first year Eau Claire County Sheriff Ron Cramer found himself atop the list of Your Favorite Local Elected Official. Cramer is coming up on his 25th year as the county’s top law enforcement officer. It’s appropriate that state Rep. Jodi Emerson is in the No. 2 spot: She was elected last fall to her second term representing the 91st District (i.e. most of the City of Eau Claire) in the state Assembly. Rounding out the list is Andrew Werthmann, a progressive stalwart who joined the Eau Claire City Council in 2009 and also is a member of the Democratic National Committee. –Tom Giffey
