We all have to suck at something, and for the Chippewa Valley, that something is affordable housing. It’s a subject locals have brought attention to in the past, but there’s still no easy answer to rising rents. Up next is our failure in dealing with the meth problem, which has destroyed local lives and families. Finally, voters say we fell short at helping the homeless, which was abundantly clear throughout the pandemic. Thankfully, organizations like Positive Avenues and Sojourner House have been working hard this winter to keep those without homes safe and warm. –Rebecca Mennecke
