Eau Claire’s Eastside Hill is just as sweet as the people who live there. With a Little Free Library on every corner, there is always something new to find when you walk around the neighborhood. Another lovely place to settle in or stroll through is the Third Ward. Near the UW-Eau Claire campus and multiple entrances to Putnam Trail, there’s always plenty of natural scenery to enjoy. Three miles from downtown Eau Claire along the Eau Claire River lies Altoona’s River Prairie. Its scenic parks and views of the water give its name meaning and life. –Evelyn Nelson
