With a region as scenic as the Chippewa Valley, is it any surprise that biking is such a popular way to get around? Ranking first in best bike trails is the Chippewa River State Trail. A veritable megatrail that connects Durand to Cornell with a branch leading from Menomonie, and access points in the heart of Eau Claire, you'll see county fields, towns, woods, and more. Ranking second is the Lowes Creek County Park, a popular mountain biking course with multiple wooded trails for everyone from beginners to experts, plus plenty of wildlife. Ranking third is the Red Cedar State Trail, which can be accessed from the Chippewa River State Trail and downtown Menomonie. You'll see rock formations, a state wildlife area, and beautiful bridges. —James Johonnott
