Year-round, the Chippewa Valley sports scene thrives on. Sun or snow, rain or shine, there’s a slew of family fun right around the corner. The first corner takes us up the hill to Carson Park, home of the Eau Claire Express. The local baseball organization celebrates 20 years in 2025! Taking the action indoors brings us the Chippewa Valley Roller Derby. The community-loved CVRD team travels across the Midwest as a nonprofit organization, putting on a show with a group made up of all ages. Heading down to the beachfront of Lake Altoona, you’d find the Ski Sprites Water Ski Team. For 62 years, the Ski Sprites have been putting on a show for the Chippewa Valley, offering free beachside thrills all summer long. —Devon Verbsky
