As booming as the Chippewa Valley is today, the area is certainly rich with history. The Chippewa Valley Museum (in Eau Claire’s Carson Park) connects with the community, providing collection and preservation of the region’s culture. Founded in 1952, the museum holds great history inside its walls. While the Leinenkugel’s Brewery (124 E. Elm St., Chippewa Falls) may have recently been closed after more than 150 years in operation and faces an uncertain future, the adjacent Leinie Lodge still greets visitors and offers a tasty of unique brews. The Children’s Museum of Eau Claire (126 N. Barstow St.) offers a place where learning and play can come together through fun and engaging experiences. –Devon Verbsky
