Three major happenings stand out in our voters’ memories from the past year. The first is, not too surprisingly, Tony Evers’ election as Wisconsin governor. For those who stayed up late enough to see the final returns, which pushed Evers past incumbent Gov. Scott Walker, it was a long, emotional night. Next was the success of Barron singer/songwriter Chris Kroeze — dubbed “America’s sweetheart” by Blake Shelton — who won second place on the 15th season of The Voice. Lastly, many will remember 2018 for the grand opening of the Pablo Center, the $60 million state-of-the-art, multi-use building, bustling with live performances, art galleries, and exhibits. — Samantha Kobs
