Puddle Jump

Third annual fun run/walk benefits after-school programs

Briana Krantz

Do you like to run, walk, maybe even a combination of the two? Put your footwork to a good cause and participate in the third annual Puddle Jump 5k Fun Run/Walk hosted by Longfellow Elementary in Eau Claire. Running and walking enthusiasts of all kinds are welcome to this event. All proceeds will fund Longfellow’s After-School 21st Century Community Learning Center, as well as student scholarships for community programs. The event will begin and finish in Phoenix Park’s Riverfront Terrace this year. The races begin at 9am, with a special quarter-mile race for kids at 10am. Get some friends together for the team competition; the team with the most pre-registered runners/walkers will receive a “traveling trophy” and get their name published in the Leader-Telegram. Teams must register by Friday, March 27. So lace up your running shoes and head to this event to support a great cause and have a good time! Visit the website at www.longfellow.ecasd.k12.wi.us for a registration form, or for more information, contact Sarah Duerre at 852-3832 or via email: sduerre@ecasd.k12.wi.us.
