The Chippewa River State Trail, a megatrail which connects riders all across the region, offers connecting paths to Menomonie, Eau Claire, Durand and more; it remains the best trail for biking amongst voters. The Red Cedar State Trail placed second this year and connects to Chippewa River State Trail along with downtown Menomonie. Along the ride you’re likely to see regional wildlife, beautiful bridges and views of Wisconsin’s rolling hills. In third, Lowes Creek County Park continues to be a popular destination for mountain biking enthusiasts, with complementing wooded trails for all types of riders — amateur to expert. —Evelyn Nelson
