For 11 years, folks have voted the Eau Claire Marathon their favorite local run/walk event. Don’t be scared by ‘marathon’ in the organization’s name; the org also hosts a more casual 5K race series throughout the year. Of course, the Festival Foods Turkey Trot remains a popular activity ahead of turkey day meals each year. Debuting in this category for its first time is the Eau Claire County Humane Association Fido & Friends Run/Walk. Come on, who can say no to those animals’ faces?! —McKenna Scherer
