Like food trucks? Check out Volume One's Food Truck Friday. Food trucks converge by the river downtown EC once a month during the summer.
Food trucks have driven their ways into Chippewa Valley diners’ hearts during the past few summers, growing in popularity by showing up at events to provide something for the public to munch on. According to Valley voters, the first-place food truck is, by a landslide, The Locavore Mobile Kitchen. The Locavore food truck is not even a year old, but has managed to win over the Valley with its creative offerings made of locally grown ingredients. Fire Truck Pizza from Foster Cheese Haus, which serves thin-crust pies out of a real fire engine, came in second place, while The Marigold Cafe, which grills up some tasty paninis, placed third. — Emilee Wentland
