Back in Eau Claire for its 16th year, ValleyCat is a citywide scavenger hunt with a special mode of transportation: bicycles and one-wheelers. At precisely 1pm on Saturday, May 20, the hunt will kick off as a list of locations in the city are sent out via Facebook and Instagram.

Participants will have three hours starting at 1pm to roll on over to as many locations as possible, with the choice of where to begin and how to get to each location completely up to the team’s discretion. Each checkpoint will have an activity and item to collect as proof of completion.

The final location will be 1106 Menomonie St., Eau Claire, and participants can start there, too. An after-party will commence after the completion of ValleyCat 16, with refreshments, food, and prizes awaiting participants. T-shirts will also be available for those who take part and music from Malignant Hangover and Thunderlung will keep the good vibes goin’.

All are welcome. Yes, that includes your furry friends.

Last year’s ValleyCat rallied more than 120 riders, and this year looks to be even better.

The free event is all for fun, though a $20-$30 donation is recommended and welcomed.
