Returns for Another Lap

The one word that sums up this year’s Eau Claire Valley Cat bike race is MORE! Plan on seeing more people, more bikes, more prizes, more checkpoints, and more fun. Organizer Derek Parr said, “We’ve outdone ourselves in every way this year.” Make no mistake, there will be some serious competition and the course will be more challenging than last year in hills, distance, and layout. However, co-organizer David Smuhl doesn’t want people to be intimidated. “I want people to come and know that they are racing themselves and we are all there to have a good time.” He also expects to see people from out of state competing this year. The race begins and ends at Mount Simon Park pavillion with post-race grilling, chilling, and guaranteed tomfoolery. See a great V1 Video of the 2008 event at VolumeOne.org. Be there Saturday, May 9. Registration begins at 11am and bikes roll at noon. For more information, check out http://valleycat.110mb.com.
