This Halloween season, dozens of local artists pulled together to help Volume One and The Local Store create the first ever Jack-O-Lantern Lane Carved Pumpkin Contest and Creepy Courtyard Crawl.

Voting took place Oct. 24-26 and pumpkins will remain on display through Saturday, Nov. 1 at The Local Store (205 N Dewey St., Eau Claire).

We got a great mix of creative carves, (gourd)gous designs and classic jacks — all brought together with whimsical lighting and haunting soundscapes. Hundreds flocked together — over the course of the contest — to cast their votes and take in the glow of Jack- O- Lantern Lane. All while gathering around the fire to enjoy fresh roasted nuts and hot apple cider.
