“Buying your first house is a huge adult moment,” Katherine Lillie, the founder of Icon Realty, the brokerage, said. “(As agents) we are meeting these folks as individuals, tapping into what their lifestyles are like, (and) what they are wanting to envision for their future.”

As the real estate agency and brokerage continues to grow following its official launch earlier this year, Lillie and her team of agents support clients with both buying and selling properties.

“As it relates to buying and selling, I love creating connections with people so that conversations like this feel safer,” Lillie said. “You want to make sure you do it right, and what a scary moment if you don't feel like you have people to connect with or reach out to or answer questions.”

Attendees are encouraged to show up as they are with an open mind; snacks and light networking will kickoff the event, with Lillie's class beginning at 6pm.

“The obvious way to help uplift the Eau Claire community is to help with real estate needs,” Lillie said. “The second part of it though, is what other businesses are out there that people need to know about?”
