What pairs better with a blood red slush puppy and salty popcorn than a classic horror flick? All month long, Micon Cinemas is putting some of the most iconic thrillers and scary movies back on the big screen for just $5 a pop.

Exclusively at the local chain's Oakwood Mall (4800 Golf Rd., Eau Claire), evening and nighttime shows – part of the "Horror Classics" series – will return week after week, beginning Friday, Oct. 2. 

Here's the lineup:

Dracula (1931)

• Oct. 2-3; Oct. 6

The Bride of Frankenstein (1935)

• Oct. 9-10; Oct. 13

Psycho (1960)

• Oct. 16-17; Oct. 20

A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)

• Oct. 23-24; Oct. 27

The Thing (1982)

• Oct. 30-31

Right now, the first film's showtimes are published and include an 8pm showing on Oct. 2 and Oct. 3, with a 6:30pm show on Oct. 6. The rest of the series' individual showtimes can be found at MiconCinemas.com closer to their respective dates.
