seek clues, solve puzzles, and win prizes through Jan. 31
Need some motivation to get out and about despite the winter weather? Eau Claire Parks, Recreation, and Forestry has launched its annual Carson Capers Scavenger Hunt. Throughout the month of January, participants are invited to “crack the code” and decipher 17 clues that will lead them through the 134-acre park.
“The park has a lot of fun features to explore along with historical markers, amenities, and interesting opportunities to engage in within the park,” a media release noted. “Participants will decipher riddles throughout the park which will lead to the next location. So, Super Detectives – Are you ready to help EC Rexx CRACK THE CODE?”
Participants are asked to register for free by going to activenet.active.com/Eauclaire/ and searching for “2025 Carson Capers Scavenger Hunt.” For each snapshot a participants takes with a solved clue that is submitted via the Visit Eau Claire website, a ticket will be added into a drawing. Winners will be contacted by parks and recreation staff to claim their prizes.
The Carson Capers Scavenger hunt began Jan. 1 and runs through Jan. 31. Photos must be submitted online by 8pm Friday, Jan. 31.
