Fake Bride, Fake Groom, Fake Wedding
how one totally faux wedding helped wedding professionals better serve local brides and grooms
For the Chippewa Valley Wedding Professionals, planning the perfect faux wedding is a way to help market each others’ wedding businesses and connect brides and grooms to the resources they need to be successful. Like any good relationship, this collaboration between a number of local wedding businesses, venues, and specialists (including Basswood Chalet & Guesthouse, Narvold Photography, FigaRo Productions, Black Roads Photography, Rev. Ronnie Roll, The Fitting Room & Co., Muldoon’s Menswear, Avalon Floral, Casual Ore Formal, Sweet Legacy Rentals, Sara Axness of Diamond Looks, Rachel Nayes of Saylon 7, Chrissy’s Bloomer Bakery, and Done By Storm event planning) ended at the altar – well, the fake altar anyway. In December 2018, the organization created a mock wedding shoot, which allowed wedding professionals to have professionally staged photographs of all the aspects of weddings that couples need to consider – the dress, makeup, the cake, tuxedos, photography, videography, and more – all in one place. So while considering your (very real) wedding, take a peek at some of the resulting photos of this (very fake) wedding to help you imagine your special day.
