An Integrative Path To Wellness & Beauty
Feel the difference, inside and out, at vIVid Wisconsin
For many, a prescription isn't the solution – and long wait times or rushed visits can leave you feeling unheard. That’s why Lauren Shira, a longtime critical care nurse turned business owner, created vIVid Wisconsin: a space where functional medicine and aesthetics come together, and care feels personal again.
“By working on healing from the inside out, you focus on the root cause instead of slapping a Band-Aid on it,” Lauren said. Backed by a 16-year nursing career, she’s uniquely qualified to support people starting — or continuing — their wellness journey.
“I loved my job, but I felt we were always seeing people after they got sick. Preventative care wasn’t part of the system,” she explained. “Once I started learning about alternative options to support immunity and long-term health, everything changed.”
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Lauren’s parents were impacted and needed support, but few local resources were available. She considered taking them to the Twin Cities for IV therapy — but the cost was steep, and the options close to home were limited. That’s when Lauren’s search for different healthcare options began.

Whether someone is just beginning to explore their health, recovering from illness, or well-versed in holistic care, vIVid Wisconsin meets them where they are. “Even our team members are on different parts of their wellness journey,” Lauren said. “That’s part of what makes our approach so real and welcoming.”
Lauren opened vIVid Wisconsin in late 2022 in a one-room space. What started with a few IV vitamin infusions quickly outgrew the location — twice. By fall of last year, the business moved into a six-room location and expanded its services.
Today, vIVid offers a full range of wellness and aesthetic treatments: IV therapy, ozone therapy, hyperbaric oxygen, massage, laser hair removal, microneedling, facials, Botox, lab services, and more — all delivered with a functional and integrative, whole-person approach.

One thing is clear to the vIVid team: people are looking for care that’s personal and consistent. “We’re not like a traditional office where you’re in and out once a year,” Lauren said. “Some people come monthly, some weekly. My kids are often here. It feels like a family.”
“There’s a healthy mix of how people use our services — some come in for aesthetics, others for one-on-one care with our functional medicine practitioner, and many for IV therapy. A lot of our clients choose to do a combination, and what we hear most often is that people feel the difference — physically and emotionally.”
With the combined expertise of nurse practitioner Heidi Dowd, lead aesthetic nurse Josie Vehrenkamp, and founder Lauren Shira, vIVid is leading the charge in accessible, integrative care in the Chippewa Valley. “We understand both the power of traditional medicine — and the body’s natural ability to heal when it’s given the right support,” Lauren said.
As healthcare access has become more limited locally, vIVid is proud to offer services like in-house lab work and prompt provider appointments. “We can typically get people in to see Heidi within a couple of weeks. And that first appointment is a full hour or more, so we can really understand what’s going on,” Lauren said. “From there, we create a tailored plan and follow up often — so no one falls through the cracks.”

Giving back to the community is a core value at vIVid Wisconsin. “We wouldn’t be here without the people who’ve supported us, and it’s important to us that we show up for them, too,” Lauren shared. That’s why, for the month of April, vIVid is supporting Halos of the St. Croix Valley — an organization that provides bereavement support for families — in memory of Lauren’s daughter, Daphne, who tragically passed away shortly after birth in April 2023.
At vIVid Wisconsin, wellness and aesthetics go hand-in-hand — bridging the gap between feeling good on the inside and feeling confident on the outside. No matter where you’re at in your journey, the vIVid team is here to support you.
