Every year, Volume One’s Best of the Chippewa Valley Poll asks readers to tell us about all the things, places, and people they love about our community. When we asked them about the Favorite Local Nonprofit for our 2021 poll, here were their top three favorites.

1. Bob’s House for Dogs

2. Feed My People Food Bank

3. Eau Claire County Humane Association

Nothing says Wisconsin culture quite like helping others, and these three nonprofit organizations excel at doing just that – whether it’s for our neighbors or furry friends. Bob’s House for Dogs (E3015 County Road HH, Eleva) provides care for elderly and special needs dogs, giving good ear scratches and a place to call “home.” Feed My People Food Bank (2610 Alpine Road, Eau Claire) offers help to our hungry human neighbors, while the Eau Claire County Humane Association (3900 Old Town Hall Road, Eau Claire) helps homeless animals find their forever homes. –Rebecca Mennecke
