We take fish fry very seriously in Wisconsin, and not just on Fridays (though we love Fish Fry Fridays too), so this category is no joke. 4 Mile Restaurant and Bar (S5786 State Highway 37, Eau Claire) has been crowned for its fish fry each year since 2018, though the bar has been around since 1963. Its crispy fish fry totally steals the show. Old Abe’s Supper Club (17256 155th Ave., Jim Falls) knows what they're doin', the first-time placer coming in at the runner-up slot. Bresina’s Carry Out (10 Jefferson Ave., Chippewa Falls) comes in at third, marking its second time placing, the take-out eatery making waves with its fish fry.  –McKenna Scherer
