The best individual cocktails may be one thing, but the best place for cocktails is a somewhat different matter. Ambience, vibe, and good conversations all come into play when choosing a great place to imbibe, and nothing takes the lead like Dive (333 Gibson St., Eau Claire) the bar inside The Lismore Hotel, which is temporarily closed because of the pandemic. Next up is Infinity Beverages Winery & Distillery (3460 Mall Drive, Eau Claire) where they create tasty cocktails from their own spirits. Rounding out the list is The Lakely (in the Oxbow Hotel, 516 Galloway St.), also temporarily shuttered but certainly not forgotten. –Rebecca Mennecke
