Rent some skis or snowshoes for instructional classes and candlelight snowshoe hikes. Tower Ridge Recreation Area (955 S. 82nd Ave., Eau Claire) boasts the largest cross-country ski trail complex in Eau Claire County, offering wooded, rolling terrain and a recreation area with lighted trails. Lowes Creek County Park (5238 S. Lowes Creek Road, Eau Claire) offers the natural beauty of a trout stream spanned by a bridge to allow skiers access to both sides of Lowes Creek.
