A native of Eau Claire, Willson says getting her real estate license three years ago has only deepened her appreciation for the community.

“I love being a Realtor here because I grew up here,” she says. “I know the school districts, I know the neighborhoods. It’s amazing to watch them grow and expand. I would say growing up here has been a joy, and I’ve fallen in love with the Chippewa Valley.”

“We have three brains working for you at all times,” Willson explains. As a team, she says, “We use all our experiences together, to bounce things off each other. When we list a home or do showing appointments, we all do it, so you get more than one real estate opinion.”

One agent, for example, may be more knowledgeable about a particular neighborhood and have greater insight that will help a client in the process of buying or selling a home — or sometimes both.

“We come up with different strategies and prices and then we figure out which one best fits your neighborhood,” Willson says.

The members of Jesperson Group can also help clients who want to build new homes.

“We are there from the first showing to the last day at closing.”

When selling a home — even in a relatively hot real estate market — setting the right price is critical, Willson says: “It is so important to accurately price your home nowadays. You don’t want it to be too high or too low; we want to make sure you get every dollar possible.”

And getting top dollar means getting your home in tip-top shape, which is something the Jesperson Group can help with as well. The Jesperson Group has relationships with local contractors who can help declutter and stage your home, as well as with moving companies, organizers, cleaners, and photographers.

Working with a team has other advantages for clients, Willson says. Buying and selling real estate can be a fast-moving process, so if one member of the team isn’t available, another one will be able to answer questions or take action. “If you can’t get ahold of me, there will be someone else available right away.”

Willson loves the real estate business because every client — and situation — is different, which means that Realtors must be flexible and creative. She jokes about a T-shirt she has that defines a Realtor as a “best friend for three months, magician, financial advisor, counselor, therapist.”

While that may be overstating the job description by just a bit, it’s not far from the truth.

“I love getting to know the people,” she says. “I think it is pretty cool that they trust me to be involved in the buying and selling of their home.”
