ESPN fails geography, thinks Wisconsin is in Minnesota

WTF, SportsCenter.

WTF, SportsCenter.

To be fair, geography is probably not a required course in most graphic design programs. But also to be fair, a professional graphic designer working for, say, the largest sports news corporation to ever exist in the known universe should probably be able to recognize the basic shape of the state of Wisconsin. Especially when the Packers have been plowing through the rest of the NFL like a chubby kid through a leaf pile.

Not so with ESPN’s design staff. Last week, ESPN's SportsCenter ran a report on Ryan Braun and Aaron Rodgers in front of a giant yellow Minnesota, with the letters “W” and “I” on top. My god. People across the state still shudder with horror.
