Caring for a loved one with dementia is as rewarding as it is stressful. To help address the physical and emotional turmoil that occurs when taking care of your loved ones, the Eau Claire County Aging & Disability Resource Center is hosting A Day of Wellness for Caregivers on Monday, Oct. 2 from 11-4pm.

The event, which will be held at Trinity Equestrian Center (S5300 State Highway 37, Eau Claire), will be free and open to all dementia caregivers in the area. The retreat includes a sponsored lunch, walking trails, time with the horses, a wellness gift bag, and different workshops to help boost resilience. It is also a great opportunity to connect with other caregivers in order to build a bigger support system for you.

The event is sponsored by the ADRC of Eau Claire County, Cornerstone Caregiving, Visiting Angels, and Trinity Equestrian Center. Caregivers interested in attending can register at adrcevents.org or call (715) 839-4735. Registration is limited to the first 20 people and ends on Wednesday, Sept. 27.
