Every bride wants to look and feel their best. When you look back on your wedding photos, you should marvel at how radiant and glowing you look. But most importantly, you should remember how confident you felt. And that’s where Christa Ball – owner of Gloss Beautique – comes in.

Though she has years of professional experience in makeup, Ball knows that beauty is more about what’s in the inside than what’s on the outside. Three years ago, Ball was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and lost all of her hair during chemotherapy. “Being in the beauty industry and not feeling beautiful was a big reality check,” she says.

Now fully in remission, she teaches her three daughters Harper (7), Hadley (5), and Harlow (2) that beauty is about more than what you look like; it’s about embracing who you are. “You are beautiful with all of your natural features,” she says.

And she brings that same mindset to her professional work, with a specialty in bridal makeup, eyelash extensions, brow henna, brow lamination, and lash lifts – and making sure every bride feels her best on her big day.

“Once I experienced getting married, I wanted to be a part of other people’s day, and make them feel gorgeous” she says.

Ball, who has been in the business since 2014, knows all of the ins and outs of the wedding industry. And that experience come in clutch when it comes to giving brides the look they want for their wedding day, as they use methods and materials that many other salons don’t, such as airbrush makeup.

Unlike traditional makeup, airbrush makeup sits on the skin as opposed to soaking into it, making it a longer-lasting option that makes users look much more polished in photos.

“The coverage is very lightweight, not cakey,” Ball says, “and it lasts through tears, rain, smudging – all of the good stuff that happens on your day.”

The key to making each bride feel their best is through their thorough bridal trials, where brides can get a sneak-peek of their wedding look to ensure it’s what they want before the big day.

These trials help Ball get a feel for each bride’s personality, the color schemes of their wedding, their style, and their overall vibe.

After sitting down with a bride and chatting with different makeup options (often scouring Pinterest for inspiration!), Ball gets to work giving brides a glowing, radiant, and dewy look.

Gloss Beautique is the only educational institute in the area for lashes, and both Ball and her operations manager are certified lash instructors with Bella Lash, so they can ensure your lashes are applied with an expert hand so you feel comfortable and beautiful.

“On the big day, they brought me a hot tea and made sure I felt truly pampered,” says client Kat Gulan. “The hair and makeup team went above and beyond to make me truly look like the princess I felt like. I am so grateful for them showing all the most important women in my life how to let out their inner goddess, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for one less thing to stress about. These gals make hair and makeup look effortless!”
