ABOVE & BEYOND: C.V. Home Builders Association Announces Annual Awards

Each year the Chippewa Valley Home Builders Association (CVHBA) recognizes select members who have gone above and beyond for the housing industry and the organization. Here are the 2024 Member Awards winners:
Hall of Fame Recipient
Randy Tews of R. Tews Construction & Design, Inc., founded the remodeling company in 1993. Two years later he joined CVHBA and has served in a slew of leadership roles at the local and state levels. Over nearly 30 years, he has been part of numerous committees and development projects, including the Phoenix Park Pavilion, Beaver Creek Reserve Science Center, and others
Rising Star of the Year
Amanda Stolt of Primerica Mortgage has been a CVHBA member for about five years and has served on several committees – including the Home & Garden Show committee – and has volunteered with the Boys & Girls Club Garden Bed Project and Habitat for Humanity.
Builder of the Year
Dennis Pawlak, owner of Pawlwak Construction, has spent over 20 years as a CVHBA member and nearly as many on the board. He also serves builders organizations at the state and national levels, co-founded a trap shoot fundraiser to support the Building a Better WI PAC, and more. "Dennis is a cornerstone of the CVHBA," the organization said in the awards announcement.
Associate of the Year
Ryan Emerson, founder of East Hill Electric, joined the CVHBA in 2021 and has quickly made a significant impact. As an advocate for skilled trades, Emerson has participated in 13 school visits and career fairs in the last year, with East Hill Electric sponsoring key CVHBA events like the Parade of Homes and LEGO Building Contest.
Volunteers of the Year
Rob Bearrood of Chippewa Valley Door Co. LLC has served on the Home Show committee for 16 chairs – spending 2018-2024 as co-chair –and ensured the event's smooth transition from the Eau Claire Indoor Sports Center to the Chippewa Valley Expo Center in 2020.
Paul Holzinger of Holzinger Homes LLC stepped into an even larger leadership role in the organization in 2024, from builder director to CVHBA president. He also serves on the Eau Claire Zoning Code Technical Advisory Committee and is a dedicated development advocate.
