April showers have done their job, and now that it’s May, you know what to do: plant away! While you’re at it, spring is the perfect time to refresh your wardrobe, too. In the Chippewa Valley, Green Oasis offers an all-in-one location to kickstart your springtime look – from the garden to your wardrobe.

Wildflower Boutique, Green Oasis’s in-house women’s apparel shop, is located right next to the Green Oasis Garden Center (1403 122nd St., Chippewa Falls). The boutique received a refresh of its own in the new year, honing on its curation of pieces that offer versatility, comfortability, and a timeless sense of style. The team talked about their efforts to focus on customer service and ease of shopping, including a range of sizes.

“We have a great curvy selection that not all boutiques are able to offer,” Cassidy Bunnell, manager of Wildflower Boutique, said.“We get new clothing in weekly, so we’re rotating new pieces in all the time, and dressing rooms are huge! We really want to create an atmosphere where shoppers feel totally at home and want to come back again and again.”

While you’re spring cleaning your home – and closet! – Wildflower Boutique’s home decor, outdoors and green house accessories, and apparel could have just the piece to bring your space back to life. Waffle knits and stretchy ribbed materials, neutral-toned sweatshirts and tops, and pops of trendier colors and patterns like simple graphic tees, pinstripes, and more. Apparel sizing ranges from small to 3X.

Seasonal goodies can add a timely air to any space too, while modern pieces like classic glassware, wall hangings and signage, woven baskets, and more can complement your personal lived-in style – all available in Wildflower Boutique’s curated selection.

The Green Oasis Garden Center, located beside the boutique, has a record amount of plant and greenery varieties this year – and that’s really saying something, considering the Center’s 15,000-square-foot space! “There is such a wide variety of outdoor décor, supplies and plants,” Claudia Lecher said.

As manager of the Center, Claudia listed off just a handful of their 2025 season’s selection: for plants, an incredible range of flowers, shrubs, trees, veggies, and more; and decor like raised flower beds, wind chimes, grills, fire pits, birdbaths, and more.

“All of our staff is able to give shoppers advice on what plants could do well for them, where to find specific varieties in the Center, and connect them to our in-house designers,” Claudia said. The design team at Green Oasis offers sit-down chats to map out or just talk about how your garden and backyard space could be transformed. This time of year, scheduling an appointment guarantees one-on-one time.

“We also have DIY kits from making a butterfly garden to redoing your whole patio,” Claudia explained. “Plus, we offer free local delivery to the Chippewa Valley for orders of $75 or more.”
For longtime green-thumb locals and new-to-the-garden people, delivery ensures no plant – or project – is too big to make happen. “As a company, Green Oasis can offer design services to plant recommendations, to delivering whatever you need right to your house, to taking care of your garden and lawn after everything is in place,” owner Nathan Bollinger said.

Flowers are likely on the noggin’ for those celebrating Mother’s Day on May 11, and Green Oasis is bringing a brand-new activity to fill the day: the Mother’s Day Shop Hop! Eight local businesses came together for the inaugural event, offering a punch card and raffle prizes alongside the simple opportunity to spend the day at local stops with your loved ones.

“The Shop Hop includes coffee shops, boutiques, and consignment shops, which we hope gives people something to do beyond going out for a meal,” Cassidy said. “It’s the perfect time of year to get your garden and wardrobe refreshed, but we also hope the Shop Hop becomes a tradition for people.”

Pick up a punch card at any of the participating small businesses (Green Oasis; Legacy Coffee; Birdie’s Gathered Goods; West Rowe; Eau Claire Boutique; SLATE and Eau Baby; and ADC Boutique), visit any – or all! – of the shops, and turn in your punch card to potentially win raffle prizes. You don’t have to fill up the whole punch card, but if you do, your chances of winning will double.

Whether it’s time for your annual spring cleaning both in and outside your home, or you’re looking for a fun new activity to celebrate Mother’s Day, make sure Green Oasis’s all-in-one storefront just outside of Eau Claire is on your radar!

Green Oasis is open seven days per week and shares seasonal inspiration for your garden and home, spotlights new arrivals, and shares featured deals on its social media.
