5 Can’t Miss Holiday Shows in the Valley

these performers are ready to wow you and the family this season

What could bring you more into the holiday spirit than enjoying gorgeous holiday performances and seasonal music filling the air? There’s a show for everyone around the Chippewa Valley this time of year, and we’ve compiled five shows happening throughout December that will do the trick.


1. Tonic Sol-Fa: The 2022 Misfit Tour

Thursday, Dec. 8 | 7:30pm | Pablo Center, Eau Claire

A humorous spin on holiday music fueled by the soulful vocals of Emmy-award-winning a cappella quartet Tonic Sol-Fa will fill the Pablo Center at the Confluence for a truly can’t-miss performance. The four-person group has been featured on the Today show, sold more than two million CDs, and released a handful of holiday specials. Tickets are $36 for general admission and $10 for youth (ages 18 and under), available for purchase on Pablo’s website. 

 

2. CVSO: Sing We Now of Christmas

Saturday, Dec. 10 | 2pm | Pablo Center, Eau Claire

The Chippewa Valley Symphony Orchestra will perform alongside the Chippewa Valley Festival Choir for John Rutter’s “Gloria” and celebrate the holiday season with favorite seasonal songs like “White Christmas,” “Jingle Bells,” and more. They’ll wrap up their holiday show with a spirit-building Christmas sing-along. Tickets are available online starting at $25 and youth and student tickets will be $10. 

 

3. A Motown Christmas

Monday, Dec. 12 | 7:30pm | Pablo Center, Eau Claire

Performed with a world-class vocal group made up of past and present members of Motown’s most legendary groups including The Temptations, The Miracles, and The Contours, the family-friendly show will weave Motown’s greatest hits with classic holiday tunes. Their fantastic musical performance will be choreographed to coincide with the soulful Motown style. Tickets start at $39 online.

 

4. For Kids from 1 to 92: The Spirit of Christmas Past & Present

Saturday, Dec. 17 | 7:30pm | Pablo Center, Eau Claire

A true holiday extravaganza, this holiday show features Steve March-Tormé, Michael Bailey from Vic Ferrari, world-renowned electric violinist Mark Wood, the band STEEM, and The Wire Choir Strings from Chippewa Falls High School. Everything from joyful holiday family favorites to bustling pop-rock songs will be delivered at this shindig. Tickets start at $40 online.

 

5. The Magic of Christmas: An Evening with Madilyn Bailey

Thursday, Dec. 22 | 7:30pm | Mabel Tainter, Menomonie

Semi-finalist of America’s Got Talent’s 16th season in 2021 (and Boyceville native!) Madilyn Bailey will be returning to the state to deliver a lush, gorgeous holiday show in Menomonie at the historic Mabel Tainter. Featuring holiday classics alongside original music, Madilyn has a dedicated global fanbase with more than nine million subscribers on YouTube and has been featured on the Today show. Tickets for the family-friendly performance are $32 each and are available on Mabel Tainter's website.
