Want a holiday door decoration that is special to you? Curvue Hideaway + Tree Farm in Eau Claire is hosting several wreath and porch plant workshops this holiday season to help you feel festive!

The Porch Pot Workshops will be held on Friday, Nov. 11 and 18 at 6pm, and on the weekends of Nov. 12-13 and 19-20 at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm. The whole workshop costs $60 which includes the container, dirt, branches, decorations, and instruction from the talented and friendly team over at Curvue.

The Wreath Decorating Workshops will occur less often, only available on Nov. 12 and Nov. 19 at 10am. For $60 as well, you will get to select your pre-made 24" evergreen wreath and the things you choose to decorate your wreath with.

Co-owner of Curvue Hideaway + Trees, Brittney Malone, emphasized the main point of these workshops is to not only have fun but to create a community experience.

“A lot of it was about it being an up-and-coming trend and being able to express that creativity,” Brittney said. “But it was also a way to encourage some community by having this be a space where people can bring their friends and family and have fun creating.”

Brittney and her husband, Sean, began running Curvue about 10 years ago and started up the Christmas workshops about five years ago. It has been one of their most popular things to do on the farm, but there are also many activities families can do when visiting, including roasting marshmallows, shopping in their gift shop, and enjoying some free cocoa and cider.

“We started this when we had young kids so we wanted to make a place where families could come and not have to pay to do something fun, other than the price of their tree,” Brittney said. “We wanted this to be a place where families could come and escape the hustle and bustle of the world for a little bit.”
