On Saturday, Dec. 6, the Chippewa Valley Symphony Orchestra (CVSO) offered a special seasonal experience for attendees of its multi-home open house event, the Christmas Stroll. On top of being a unique and festive outing, the event – organized by the Friends of the Symphony – is a significant fundraiser for the nonprofit symphony.
This year's event included five festive homes and one venue, which could be toured in any order by ticket holders (some started out at Lazy Monk Brewing which was also selling day-of tickets). Less than half of CVSO's annual costs are covered by concert ticket sales, so additional avenues like grants, charitable giving and fundraising events – like the Christmas Stroll – are crucial for the organization.
