On Saturday, Nov. 22, the third annual Clearwater Jazz and Art Festival: Holiday Edition offered a mix of seasonal jazz soundscapes and handcrafted goods at The Brewing Projekt (1807 N. Oxford Ave. Eau Claire).

As the holiday season draws nearer, area musicians and “big band” ensembles brought their favorite winter anthems to the dual stages on the upper- and lower-level of the local brewery.

Tim Davis’ Itty Bitty Big Band brought the heat with new sonic landscapes; Valerie Evans and Will DeBlaey shared beautiful harmonies with bass guitar and vocals combined; Todd Bartlett performed trumpet solos with the Jason Collins Septet, among many other jazz-influenced talents.

Artisans interspersed throughout the second floor of the brewery — with holiday-themed goods available for purchase — included Elizabeth Carey, Ashley Wittling, Michael Sabo, Molly Linton among others. Products available for purchase included seasonal ceramic ornaments, trees, handmade jewelery, original painted artworks and much more.
