PROUD, LOUD, AND PLEASING THE CROWD. The Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps – one of the 13 founding corps of the prestigious Drum Corps International and two-time DCI World Champion – recently trained and entertained at UW-Eau Claire's football stadium in Carson Park.

The Madison-based band performed (and debuted) their touring show "Between the Lines" several times this July, demonstrating their ability to push "athletic boundaries of the body, the musical abilities of the musician, and the awareness of the performer," according to their website.

This year's show features a "diverse array of classical melodies infused with the Latin Jazz styles of Havana, Mexico City, and Barcelona," according to the corps' announcement of their show title. "The production features Beethoven’s Für Elise, Louis Moreau Gottschalk’s Souvenirs & Andalousie, and the traditional Malagueña Salerosa."

This drum corps includes over 150 performing members from across the world, including UW-Eau Claire graduate David Lofy, who acts as programs director for The Scouts.

According to a UW-Eau Claire media release, The Scouts and the Blugold Marching Band are "exploring the possibilities of developing a summer marching band camp in future years."
